A GIANT LEAP FOR MONKEYKIND

The matriach of the mischevious Phunky Monkey's of MadPea Circus had long faced an issue with her troupe of monkeys and their personal hygiene issues. 

She had tried nagging, cajoling and even shaming the monkeys into a regular bathing regimen. Nothing worked! Whenever she tried they monkeys would just gather their nuts and head outside for more monkey business. 

She was almost at the end of her simian tether when an accident involving a trapeze, a broken safety net, a ladder and a clown called shorty gave her an idea. That day the Simian Splash was invented. Fooling the monkey into thinking the bowl contained no more than a simple goldfish, when in fact it contained anti-bacterial gel, she set about setting up a playful toy for the monkeys. 

THEY LOVED IT. Taking it in turns to perform the Simian Splash they each improved their hygiene and had fun at the same time. To this day they still don't know that they are really having a wash!

Learn from this Phunky Monkey's Mistakes!

Kooky is a recovering banana skin addict. From the time he was a little monkey, his greatest thrill in life was to amuse everybody and make them laugh. Of course, at school he was the class clown. At one party he found that when he sniffed banana peel, that he could act really crazy and make everybody howl in surprise. But soon, he felt he needed more than a sniff to feel the same craziness and soon became addicted to smoking banana skins.  

The more his addiction took hold over him, the less he could amuse everybody and contrarily became quite a sullen monkey. He really reached bottom when at a grand gathering of friends and relatives, he made everybody quite angry and embarrassed when the only humor he had in him was insults and put downs.


Fortunately for Kooky, his cousin Cheeta recognized what was happening to him and created an intervention. After a couple of sessions of oooh oooh therapy, Kooky recognized his addiction problems and enrolled in a 10 vine program which he successfully completed. He quickly joined the Phunky Monkey Circus when they passed through his area and now amuses hundreds of audience members daily and makes them laugh until they cry.

Betty Baker - The Star of the Show!

MONKEYING AROUND IN SPACE

The ASPCA awarded Miss Baker with a Certificate of Merit for Distinguished Service, supporting "'carefully controlled scientific' use of animals as space pathfinders for the 'mutual benefit of man and animals. Squirrel Monkey Miss Baker poses with the Certificate of Merit for Distinguished Service she was awarded by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) after her successful return to earth, the associated medal, and the couch used for her flight (to the right). Baker and her traveling companion Able were the first animals to return alive from space.

The Tale of a Thrill Seeking Monkey

L’il Phunky was the first Macaco monkey on his block to finish banana school . His jungle habitat seemed like a very small place after he discovered that there is a huge world beyond the jungle path. Wishing his friends and family goodbye with a promise to return someday, L’il Phunky hopped on the express vine to the furthest point of his known world and jumped off into the future.

L’il Phunky traveled far and wide and had both adventures and misadventures. One thing he always took with him though was a longing for his tribe of friends and family. His longing contributed to his Phunky moniker as there was always a tinge of sadness to him. Having gotten into the entertainment business by way of a stand-in role in the latest of the Planet of the Apes franchise (Mooning the Monkey Planet) L’il Phunky decided to start a Circus.

He sent for his entire tribe to come join him in the wilds of New Jersey USA where they would help him establish the Phunky Monkey Circus as the premier simian entertainment venue in the States. Reunited with his family, he was now among the happiest of Phunkys . Although he wasn’t as ‘L’il’ as he used to be, he was still their Little Phunky they were just as happy to work with him and for him….for peanuts!

Life is Like a Silent Movie

How Charlie found his voice again

Charlie was found by the MadPea circus, wandering the streets and looking forlorn...he was homeless...a Tramp and had completely lost his voice. Unable to tell Queen Pea why he was alone or where he was from or where any of his family were. His life was like a silent movie until MadPea took him under their wings...feeding him, clothing him and giving him a loudspeaker so everyone could hear him again! Now Charlie is very vocal about raising funds for ASPCA at Cirque de Seraphim.

The Tale of Kongo Bongo

The Tale of Kongo...the musical hero of Bongo!

Kongo Bongo is a third cousin, twice removed, of King Kongo the 7th of Bongo. Bongo is most well known for it's indigenous drum loving monkeys. Bongo was originally well known as the filming spot for Last...a series about a group of plane crash survivors who encounter the last living person on the island...Tom Hanks and his amazing collection of drums and bongos left over in Fed Ex crates. 

Eventually the survivors disappeared, leaving behind the assorted musical instruments which the monkeys took to playing with joy!. The best of which was Kongo, who had a natural gift for banging the bongo.

After winning several awards including an AMA (Ape Music Award) Kongo decided to leave the island in search of fame and fortune. Joining the MadPea Circus he found his true vocation at Cirque de Seraphim, raising funds for the ASPCA!

Welcome to the big top our phabulous Phunky Monkeys! This merry band of comic Phunny Phriend Perphormers will entertain and whip the crowd up into a phrenzy! There are 9 Monkeys in our Ringmaster Monkey Gacha, 8 commons and 1 rare and as with all MadPea Gacha's these are bound to become the top of the bill for all collectors! 

Cirque de Seraphim aims to raise money to benefit the ASPCA and as such we have produced 3, brand new and exclusive to Cirque products which will be sold at the event with 50% of the L$ going straight to the ASPCA.
